Previous Events:

The 2016 Gluten-Free and Allergen Friendly Expo:

Every May, Cutting Costs for Celiacs visits the Gluten-Free and Allergen Friendly expo in Scahmburg, IL to raise awareness about our charity, learn more about the economic, social, and psychological impacts of celiacs disease, and meet with local vendors. We plan on attending the event in 2017. Come stop by our booth!

Celiac Disease Awareness:

In January of 2016, founder Lexie Van Den Heuvel gave a speech to local high school students to raise awareness and education for Celiacs Disease in the local community. Check out the video here!

Additionally, Lexie worked with the Celiac Project to record two podcasts about Cutting Costs for Celiacs and Food Bullying for kids with allergies and intolerances.

The 2016 "12 in 1" Campaign:

In January of 2016, we aimed to donate 400 pounds of food to newly diagnosed celiac patients as part of our "12 in 1" Campaign. What we donated in 12 months in 2015, we successfully donated in one month of 2016. Thank you for your donations and continued support to Cutting Costs for Celiacs.

Color Run:

On August 11th 2015, The Color Run at Miller Park allowed us to bring volunteers to help run the event kindly donated $40 per every volunteer we brought. The volunteers cheered on runners while getting very colorful. It truly is the happiest 5K on the planet.

Jose's Blue Sombrero

On Thursday, April 9th 2015, Cutting Costs for Celiacs held a fundraising event at Jose's Blue Sombrero (JBS) in Fox Point, WI. Twenty-five percent of all food sales from the night were donated to Cutting Costs for Celiacs. Between JBS's generous donation and our successful raffle, we recieved roughly $1,300.00 that we will be using to help celiacs in the local area. Thank you to our supporters!
